Without a doubt real estate investment is the most secure and profitable stream of passive income in Toronto. Most people acquire properties, get a mortgage on it, pay interests,fees and preserve some equity. There is nothing wrong with that. But the real money is always on the other side of the table.
The banks and lenders are the ones who make the largest profit in real estate financing. With growth of private lending mechanism investors found a chance to deligate small amounts and grow it over time. This enabled small players make good money over years but unfortunately many lost large amounts and did not even recover their capitals. This is simply due to lack of education.
As a finance firm, it is our job to educate our investors about frauds, missuses and missleading promisses happening in the market today. At ToroFi we do not value agreements between lender and borrower that much. We believe there always has to be tangible asset in between for a deal to be fair and secure. As much as a 35% interest rate might be tempting to a lender, if there is solid asset or financial plan to back up the borrowed amount, we simply refuse to look at it.
It is easy to say it in words. But in practice it requires you to be expert in law, real estate market value projection, and of course finance. This is why when forming ToroFi team, we decided to bring in more partners that have expertise in each of these fields. And thats how we are sure we can protect our investors every single time. If we cant do it, no one else can.
